Ready to spice up your evening? Join us for an exciting Salsa Caleña Workshop on October 30th from 18:00 to 19:30 at Sportcentrum Europapark dance zaal (Helperpark 306, 9723 ZA, Groningen).

Whether you're coming solo or with a partner, this workshop is open to all levels! Bring your energy. In the first part of the class, we'll learn and practice some basic steps of Salsa Caleña. In the second part, we're going to create a simple dance routine using the new steps we just learned.

Dr Alex de Lacey is an Assistant Professor in Popular Music at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. His research focuses on grime and hip-hop performance. His first book, Level Up: Live Performance and Creative Process in Grime Music, is available through Routledge. Alex writes for Songlines and is published in Global Hip-Hop Studies, Popular Music, Popular Music History. The forthcoming Cambridge Companion to Global Rap, for which he is co-editor with Dr Richard Bramwell, will be published in 2025. He DJs for grime crew Over the Edge and runs DRUK, a grime night in Groningen.
